Protect Yourself from Online Fraud
At Adsrav.ng, most of our users are genuine, honest people looking to buy, sell, or trade within a trusted community. However, like any online platform, scammers may attempt to take advantage. It’s important to stay alert and follow some simple safety rules.
To reduce your risk of getting scammed:
Only deal with people you can meet in person — preferably in a public place.
Never send money through Western Union, MoneyGram, cryptocurrency, or any anonymous payment service.
Don’t send goods or money abroad, especially if payment hasn’t been confirmed.
Avoid accepting cheques — they can be fake and bounce later.
Verify the other party's identity — ask for full name, phone number, and location, and confirm via a secondary method.
Keep a record of all communication — including messages, emails, listings, and transaction details.
Trust your instincts — if a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Walk away.
Be cautious if the person:
Claims to be abroad or unable to meet in person
Insists on anonymous payment methods like cryptocurrency or Direct Bank Transfer
Uses broken or robotic English in messages
Sends copied/pasted messages or seems vague
Pushes you to ship an item before payment
Offers something at a suspiciously low price
